After 60 years of diligences, Sanyang, a rare manufacturer of both motorcycle and automobiles in Taiwan, enters 2015 with a more sophisticated craftsmanship and more advanced technologies. Seeing 2015 as a turning point, Sanyang Industry Co., Ltd. renamed herself as SANYANG MOTOR CO., LTD., abbreviated as SYM, to demonstrate her determination to focus on core businesses.
Sanyang has a favorable outlook on the local 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled markets, and is particularly confident that the segment of heavy motorcycle will outgrow the rest. In order to re-polish the brand and revive the pride, Sanyang increases her momentum for transformation and continues to provide customers with products of quality and well-performance.
Mr. Walter H. C. Chang, Chairman of Sanyang Motor Co., Ltd., stated, “Sanyang Motor is the only manufacturer of both 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled products in Taiwan. With the new logo of Sanyang Motor, abbreviated as SYM, we commit ourselves to the core businesses. In the motorcycle business, we will concentrate on RD, Production and Sales of our own products, and meanwhile, in the 4-wheeled business, focus on OEM and Sales of international brands, as well as strengthen our tie with Hyundai Motor, the fifth auto maker of the world. The multiple Hyundai models introduced to Taiwan since 2014 are well received and created a record-breaking monthly sales of 1,845 units in January, 2015. We are optimistic about general local auto market this year. Given the fact of low petroleum price, it is foreseeable that we can witness a wave of car-changing and possibly a dynamic auto market of total volume at around 420 thousand units.” Regarding the 2-wheeled business, Chairman Chang even pointed out, “the total capacity of the 2-wheeled market this year is estimated to be about 700 thousand units, and the heavy bike segment will outgrown the others. Seeing that, Sanyang has been dedicating herself to reinforcing her offer power and increasing product lines of heavy bikes. SB300 and SB300CR, the legendary and classic bike in the motorcycle world, will be formally marketed in March and lead the SYM heavy motorcycles to the top.”
In the year of 2015, Sanyang Motor will continue to combine the innovative technology with exquisite craftsmanship and provide our customers motorcycle and automobile of the best standard. Internally, Sanyang will integrate resources by way of setting clear directions of development and planning, focusing on core businesses, and improving qualities of products and services.
